When the pandemic hit, Dr. Basta could not find any face shield that allowed her to practice dentistry with her loupes and light combined. Taking this matter to heart, Dr. Basta took it upon herself to design a shield that allowed her to do so. Aegis Agape was born.  

Dr. Basta obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1994. Soon after graduation she moved to the United States where she practiced general dentistry for 7 years. In 2001 she attended Loma Linda University to complete her Prosthodontic Specialty training in prosthodontics. After the completion of her specialty training in prosthodontics, Dr. Basta pursued her Masters Degree in prosthodontics, which she successfully completed in 2007.

Dr. Basta is prominently known for her immense love and passion for dentistry, problem solving and attention to detail. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Basta loves to read and spend time traveling with her family.
